Following two runner-up finishes behind SV Hofheim in the previous years, this year's edition saw our team successful again. After a tight race, our first team crowned itself as MTS Blitz champions again and continued a streak of 8 out of 10 titles between 2013 and 2023, which was then interupted by SV Hofheim. We extend our congratulations to our winning team. With this result, our club also secured the start of two teams at the the upcoming Hessian Blitz team championships 2026.

It's the year 2026 now and we are happy to extend our invitation to our traditional Willi Ellenberger Memorial rapid tournament on March 15th 2026 at Saalbau Nied. This year, our tournament will again be the official rapid chess championship of the Main-Taunus Chess Association. Registration will close on the day at 10:30 am. We are looking forward to welcome a numerous field of participants.

Things are looking up again! After some disappointing turnout numbers in recent years, the 23rd edition of our traditional rapid chess tournament saw an impressive 55 participants. Our thanks go to the Main-Taunus Chess Association, which chose to designate our tournament as this year’s rapid chess championship — a decision that certainly played a key role in the encouraging rise in attendance. The tournament was won by a junior player, Daniel Elias Ochs, while Thomas Schlapp — one of our strongest, if not our strongest, rapid chess players — secured the MTS championship title.

We are pleased to invite all fellow citizens interested in Chess or Go (or both) to our first Open Day on March 22nd 2025. The event will be held in the Mainauensaal of Saalbau Nied from 1 to 6 pm.
