Open Day 2025

We are pleased to invite all fellow citizens interested in Chess or Go (or both) to our first Open Day on March 22nd 2025. The event will be held in the Mainauensaal of Saalbau Nied from 1 to 6 pm.

Since 1961, the chess club of Nied is an integral part of the neighbourhood and prides itself in having been the very first tenant of Saalbau Nied (back then still called Haus Nied) in 1967.

Since 2024, the club does not only offer chess but has also endorsed the Asian board game Go. This as well as our impending 64th anniversary - a magical number for chessplayers - inspired us to present our club to the interested public by way of an Open Day..
